Hi Jn

The Hummingbird team is working on improving the documentation not only to show the result and how to improve the reports based on your result.

In the upcoming version, we are making some UI fix to make it easier to work, you can follow the roadmap on https://wpmudev.com/roadmap/#hummingbird

Best Regards

So we hope your humming bird team will work to improve core web vital aspects of the sites ie LCP,FID and CLS rather than just doing an improvement in overall page score , because if we need to pass core web vital we need the required criteria for LCP, FID and CLS to be achieved rather than having a page score of 99/100 .

Sorry , You are right , Your point is right about those indicators , But kindly note that the scores itself is not enough for Core Web Vital .

Hi, Thanks for the reply, Kindly note that when a site passes core web vital test all those indicators will be green, So it is very clear that your plugin may be helping to increase the score, but it is not helping to pass core web vital :)

Hi Jn,

Yes, this is a post on how to optimize the Elelmentor site with our plugin, Hummingbird. Since it is our blog we do promote our plugins :) no one is hiding that :)

“If you check the three (Orange , Red , Green) indicators just below the score you have mentioned in the screenshot given inside this post you can easily see that it is just failing to pass the core web vital test ”

Those indicators are not the score, that is an explanation of the score (like a key on the map), you can see it’s always the same for any site you test in google page speed.
Hope that helps.

Hello Patrick. Yes I agree, it is really hard to score 100. Google pagespeedinsights / core web vitals has set the bar very high. I believe under 10% of all websites, and possibly as low as 5% will ever achieve that score. that said, this is a very useful blog post and the referenced post at https://www.perfectwpsetup.com/core-web-vitals-optimization/ is a pretty good post that will help a lot of people improve their scores no end. Sorry if i came across as being negative. This is going to become more and more important for all of us. I just achieved a 99 score mobile and 100 score desktop for a client site i completed last month using LiveCanvas – whereas i have clients i built using Elementor that are nowhere near that. but the article from perfectwebsetup will help me to reoptimise those elementor sites – so well done for the article here and for that link. thank you.

Hi @gail

Get 100/100 on the test is really hard when we use theme or plugins and not necessary, the test report some files like jQuery which are native from WordPress and we can’t move or force load after page.

The author also failed to mention that the 98 score was for desktop. Whereas the mobile score was 93. Not bad, but still room for improvement.

Hi gail

You are correct,

Some images like Logo we are safe to exclude from Lazy Loading, using Smush you can use the exclude from class or ID option: https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/smush/#lazy-loading
