Hi Jane,

I hope you are doing well today!

We understand your frustration with the process of upgrading to a yearly hosting plan and thanks for your nice words about our migration service.

Please note that our Hub team is working to implement the feature that will allow monthly to annual plan upgrades directly from the interface, which should streamline the process and make it more convenient for users like yourself. We don’t have any ETA to share but it will be handled as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Kind regards,
Zafer

But the process of upgrading leaves so much to be desired. If I want to go from a bronze to a silver monthly plan, I literally just click a button. To go from monthly to yearly hosting- -I have to create SFTP login, buy a new annual plan, create a ticket for migration, disconnect the original site (once migration is done), reconnect the domain, then delete the old site. The WPMU Dev developers who handled the migration for one of my sites were amazing, but it’s still such an incredible hassle. I have over 20 sites to move over to annual but I’m it feels like it may be a waste of (short term) time. I absolutely love WPMU Dev and have been an agency member for years- -one of the best purchases I’ve ever made…but it seems likes it’s gone a bit downhill lately. We have domains, but no domain forwarding (so easy!)…yearly hosting, but a hassle to do it. It feels like WPMUDev is focusing on *new* customers and not servicing their current ones. I hope they step up, because, in general, they’ve been awesome.

Hi JP,

Thank you for expressing interest in having an upgrade feature for customers to switch from monthly to annual plans directly within the white-label reseller client portal. We understand the importance of such functionality for both enhancing user experience and potentially increasing commitment levels.

While we currently don’t have this feature available, your feedback is invaluable to us. We’re always looking for ways to improve our platform and services. In the meantime, we’ll continue to manually assist with any account upgrades. If you have any clients wishing to make this change, please reach out to our support team, and we’ll ensure the process is smooth for both you and your clients.

Thank you again for your suggestion and your continued support.

Kind regards,
Zafer

An option to switch from monthly to anual and the other way around should be included. Right now you have to buy a new hosting plan and migrate the site if you want to switch from montly to yearly billing. Way too much hassle.

I have already had interest to move from monthly to annual.
New Annual sign-up was tested without trouble.

Maybe I’m missing something, but I haven’t been able to find an upgrade option in the white-label reseller client, for the customer to upgrade to a yearly plan.

Could this be implemented somehow, with the free domain and webmail credits being applied?
I understand those credits are applied and managed at reseller level, which is fine, but allowing the customer to upgrade in the white-label hub, from monthly to annual would be great (also amending the Stripe subscription linked to the site).

The $12/year fee likely covers maintenance and support for the webmail service, adding value and ensuring reliability, while offering a free month for annual hosting commitments could align with standard industry practices and meet customer expectations.

Hi Han

It is one installation per server, it is possible to have a WordPress multisite in a single plan: https://wpmudev.com/docs/hosting/tools-features/#multisite and then map the domains to subsites.
