Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Having that added support or a way to review and double-check your code can make a huge difference in your projects.

Indeed, these services can be a game-changer, whether you’re a solo business owner or part of a larger team.

Best Regards,

And you can integrate them a few ways. Let’s say you are wanting to do it just for yourself because you are a solo business. Well, now you have a team that can match your budget. And I can’t think of any website that has ever been successful from just one person working on it.

I know when I first started I was afraid that everything I did would break something and chaos would ensue. Still happens when I’m trying something new for the first time.

However, for those of you with a team consider using this as either support for your team or to review the functionality of your current team.

Either way have fun using the new services to achieve your goals.

I’ve already brainstormed with a few clients on the later. I’d say it is about a 50/50 split of clients wanting to use it as support and the other to check the work of their team.

Hi PowerQuest

Thank you for the feedback,

We keep troubleshooting any WordPress issues, the only change is related to when coding is required.

Developers do this service and enhancing the quality of the final result also extends the scope of coding we can provide. But we keep listening to all our members’ feedback

The gold support standard of “we will attempt to help you and fix any issue as long as it is WordPress related even if its is not our product” has been the very reason why we (and highly likely other customers), keep happily paying to WPMU Dev. We have always said that the excellent second to none support was the key all the rest that followed (plugins etc.), was just a bonus and the cherry on the top.
I think you guys should really reconsider this move which feels like a BIG greedy money grab.

Kind regards

Hi there

In such case, you can create a regular ticket https://wpmudev.com/hub2/support and we will communicate with our developers whenever possible to provide the quote, but we can’t guarantee we always be able to offer it upfront. You can also combine the same site into a single request if there is more than one development job necessary instead of creating small requests.

Best Regards
Patrick Freitas

I have to say that this feels concerning and problematic as your loyal customers have become accustomed to great levels of service, but I am immediately being told it’s a paid service and the level of support has already been affected. To have an ad-hoc option where we can get a quote to achieve a goal and then pay an ad-hoc fee will be a better option for users who do not make many requests.

Hi Mike,

Our Live Chat and Forum support is there to assist with product-related issues and will remain committed to solving your queries, troubleshooting plugin conflicts, and providing guidance on utilizing our products to their fullest potential. So support involving conflicts between our plugins and CSS, themes, or other plugins will continue as usual.

However, if there are actions which involve custom development such as supplying updated or custom code, including PHP, JS, and CSS, then I’m afraid they’ll fall beyond the scope of our support.

Please check our doc for more info:

Nithin

Will we no longer be able to get CSS or script support through live chat or ticket?
