Hi,

The Broken Link Checker requests the pages and returns the error depending on the header sent by the server, not sure if this helps in replying to this question, please let us know and we’ll try to explain further.

About the limitations, it shouldn’t have major limitations apart from the time between scans, it needs some time to not stress the API and your server.

I use this on all my sites!
The only issue I have is sometimes it shows a false link. One that doesn’t exist on the site.
