Instead of just credit and debit cards, you can now accept 40+ payment options including Apple and Google Pay, Amazon Pay and Klarna. This opens up more possibilities and will help increase your conversion rates, no matter what you’re selling.

Dynamic Payment Methods: Based on Customer’s Location & Currency

The best part about this new feature is that your customers don’t have to scroll through lots of options that don’t apply to them.

Instead, the payment options displayed on the form will be dynamically generated based on their location and currency.

You can easily enable or disable payment methods and even set conditions for when specific methods should appear, all from your Stripe dashboard.

Here’s How to Migrate

Migrating from the old Stripe Integration to the new OCS Payment Element is simple. Here’s the step-by-step process:

  1. Update to the latest version of Forminator
  2. You’ll see a banner informing you about all your published forms with the old Stripe element
  3. Click the pencil icon next to each form to edit
  4. Click the “Migrate to New Stripe Field” button. All your existing card element data will be migrated to the new Payment Element.
  5. You can now view your form on the front end of your site. If you’re happy with it, you can delete the legacy card element.

And you’re done! It’s really that easy. ✨

Important Things to Know

  • Not all payment methods are supported yet. We’re working on it! At the moment, Forminator only supports payment methods with immediate confirmation, but we’ll expand support for other methods in future releases.
  • Some payment methods require domain verification. If you’re planning to use Apple Pay or Google Pay, make sure your domain is verified in the Stripe Dashboard.
  • We encourage you to migrate to the new Payment Element as soon as possible. While it’s still functional for now, Stripe might start charging extra fees for sites using it, and using a Secret API Key rather than a Restricted API Key.

These new changes make it easier than ever to accept payments via your Forminator forms. So, update and migrate now and start enjoying all the benefits of this new Stripe integration.
