Backblaze is already implemented. If you need help, here’s a guide to how it’s done: https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/snapshot-4-0/#backblaze

Let us know if you have any questions!

Cheers!

I’m fairly tied into their services and a Microsoft Partner.

Hey Alvaro!

As for your question regarding having a separate backup plan per the client’s account/site, we are exploring this idea. This feature is within our long-term plans.

Hello Middlelab!

In the 4.6.0 release, we’ve added a new destination, FTP/SFTP. This way backups can be uploaded to your local, or any other server :)

And if you want to restore a backup, you may use the restoration wizard – snapshot-installer.php file. Snapshot-installer.php can be downloaded from the Hub, under the backups tab, click on any backup, and from the My Account page, click on any backup under the All Backups link.

Then we finally want to restore it, we upload it back to drop box and go for the restore subsequently.

Hello N. Fakes

Will we be able to choose the storage space for each client/site in the future? That would be right for us to charge correctly. Are there any plans to offer this feature in the future or not yet?

As for your second question, it is currently not possible to allocate per-site storage space.

Thanks again for the comments and please contact us if you have any questions!

Hi Alvaro!

We can’t overpass the cloud storage and backup to 3rd party storage directly, but we can limit the number of backups staying to cloud down to one in Snapshot settings on-site (this will also make the incremental system useless though and each backup will last longer, just like an initial backup).

Cloud storage is also granted per user, not per site.

I hope this helps! If you have any more questions, please let us know.

Cheers!

If you can’t back up directly to Google Drive, S3 or Dropbox without using your account’s backup space, I’d like to understand why. If possible.

And if it’s possible to divide the space for backups between sites/accounts, it’s good to charge the client as needed.
