Will the function be able to correctly identify the user’s real location or will it only consider the virtual location found by the VPN?

Thank you very much Patrick!

Truly incredible to have this function within the website itself! Some time ago I needed to do a redirect of this type and I had to use cloudflare to do something that had the same effect. Having this within the website makes it much easier, especially in leaving such settings within the website itself if one day it is migrated.

Lucas

Thats true. Also by redirecting them, you can provision them with the server that is at the closest region to them. This way the speed of the website will serve them well. I noticed even google.com does that.

Hi All2WP

I suggest looking directly at Google Docs:

Another suggestion is opening a thread in our Member’s forum where people can share their own experiences about this topic.

Thank you Patrick Freitas for the detailed explanation. It is interesting to know that different domains too can work fine on SEO with some good strategy. Any idea where I can look that sort of information up somewhere?

Hi All2WP

Theoretically, when you have the same domain Google understands that as the same site and has more context to index, in that case, it would be better for SEO, but it is important to say that it is just a small part of SEO ecosystem, having different domains if you have a good strategy is totally fine.

Hi Keith, I like the idea how you setup a checkout page for USD and run the redirects to another page for another currency using SmartCrawl Pro’s latest new redirect feature.

I think another way is to allow customers to select the currency they want to pay within the same form. but that Form plugin must allow the switch of currency within the same form I guess.

But im always wondering what are the SEO impacts to run multiple sites for different countries vs having a main domain with different subdirectories for each countries.

“Plugins are buggy and sometimes cause more trouble than they’re worth.
What we can do now, for example, is use SmartCrawl Pro to set up a USD checkout page by default, but redirect visitors from Canada to a CAD checkout page.”

Interesting
