Gosh you just hit the nail on the head for me … I struggle to convince my clients just how important a really intuitive and well designed menu or menus are … and also that you can’t rely on the visitor always seeing the top menu or scrolling back to the top menu … to get them somewhere else on the site …

i have to say I often struggle to get menus working exactly as I want them to within the design that my client is looking for …

I’m quite a fan of section specific menus that I often put in the side bar for relevant areas of a website … thisa is always a bit of an SEO verses usability question … plus sidebars seem to be currently out of fashion, but knowing that you can set up multiple menus to pull in using widgets is great advice for the WordPress beginner.
