Or what about an author’s page with bio and posts on the site? I started to create one, but then got confused because the URL of the author page changes based on the author name. Would I make the author page a custom post type? I love schema so much, but outside of the schema already created (article, etc.), I get lost.

The rules already exist in every schema type and are set up when configuring the Location for any type: https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/smartcrawl/#configure-schema-types

— The conditional rules (Location) = apply this schema type if the content is of this type (post type, category, template, etc.)
— The content is of this specific kind within the above selection (specific post type, specific page, a specific category, specific template, etc.)
